If just one out of five urban residents in Europe permanently changed from driving to cycling, emissions from automobiles would be cut by 8 percent, the study reports. survey information shows that while 22 percent of new car buyers expressed interest in a battery electric vehicle (BEV), only 5 percent actually bought one.

Why grant them the privledge to spend our money in the first place? Posted by: Joe | Apr 13, 2009 11:27:11 PM The government gets no tax money on electric vehicles. We are addicted to the gasoline tax both at the State and Federal level. There is no room for them to hide the taxes or blame it on successful "rich" people.
