Analysis by the International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT) argues that EVs are the quickest means to decarbonize motorized transport. must have 90 percent of its vehicles, or some 350 million EVs, on the road by 2050 in order to hit its emission targets. This is not to imply in any way that electric vehicles are worthless.

Posted by: Joe | Apr 13, 2009 11:27:11 PM The government gets no tax money on electric vehicles. We are addicted to the gasoline tax both at the State and Federal level. There is no room for them to hide the taxes or blame it on successful "rich" people. The Democrats have reached too far. GM never wanted the EV1 to succeed.
