The Legislature is taking a step toward giving a Sunshine State boost to the next generation of automobiles: electric-powered cars. The measure also would set aside $200,000 to provide incentives to build 100 charging stations throughout the state, since electric cars usually only last from 40 miles to 100 miles between charges.
