In the first quarter of 2009, automotive production in Europe fell by 35% to 3.4 million vehicles, according to the latest Economic Report from the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA). Van (-57%) and truck production (-56%) dropped even more than the manufacture of passenger cars (-31%).
