Acura unveiled the production model of the next-generation NSX at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) this past January ( earlier post ), and now has provided more technical detail on the high-performance hybrid sports car and its new Sport Hybrid-AWD power unit.

The four-door sedan will deliver 40 miles on a charge; a small gasoline engine will recharge the battery as it approaches depletion, extending its range by as much as 200 miles. It also offers eight hybrid models. Now all you hear is highway miles. The car is expected to cost around $40,000. Thats short-sighted.
