GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. No because we are just now getting the technology to do a marketable EV. I cant stand all these "GM killed the electric car" crap. Plus, the EV1 was considered a PROTOTYPE vehicle that GM made to test the technology. That is the the Mini Cooper EV can only be leased and then DESTROYED when the lease if over. you see that?
