The 2010 Fisker Karma will be the world's first production series hybrid , or extended-range electric vehicle, when it comes off the line late this year. Just prior to the Karma's German debut at next week's Frankfurt Auto Show , the company released emissions figures for the car. Customer deliveries will start next May.

This results in a 0-60 time of four seconds (it felt quicker) and a top speed of 155 mph, which we didn’t quite get to, lifting-off at 120 mph. The undetectable and seamless transitions have an EPA -rated 26 mpg city, with a combined (combined city and highway) 58 mpg. Also included are Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Maserati says the top speed is a stunning 203 mph, which we believe, but did not attempt, making it the fastest vehicle in its class. The EPA estimates fuel economy to be 13 mpg city/20 highway/16 combined running on 91 octane. The automatic transmission is operated by a pistol-grip shifter sending all that power to the rear wheels.
