We noted in December that the Society of Automotive Engineers, or SAE, was working to update standards for the interface between plug-in electric cars and the grid, and planned to agree on a set within months. And for this ecosystem to be robust, there must be commonality, especially when owners are plugging into the electrical grid.

Since the general auto market remained slumped, global EV market share increased nicely from 2.8% This is a global challenge, to which different countries can contribute in different ways, and the big picture must be in view.
