" President Obamas auto task force doesnt see it that way. Volt like hybrids are the intermediate future between hydrogen or fast charging electric cars. To get the most mileage, one could not have the radio, the A/C, or the headlights on. Think of driving any vehicle in the hot Los Angeles summer time.
