As I read in the San Jose Mercury News about California's flex-fuel fleet fiasco. The state policy of purchasing flex-fuel cars has actually increased petroleum consumption, greenhouse gas emissions and smog in California. And probably for NRDC's pocketbook, too. Google.org understood it after a few months study.
