The CEC updates its Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEV) sales figures quarterly by analyzing DMV data. Specifically, cumulative sales through the end of 2021 were: 663,014 BEV (62.9%). 379,125 PHEV (36% ). Among electric vehicles from automakers that report specific sales numbers for their EV models, the Toyota RAV4 Prime PHEV was tops in the US in 2021 with 27,3707 units sold. Another top-selling EV beyond Tesla models that is not included is the Jeep Wrangler 4xe PHEV, which likely saw 2021 sales of between 20,000-25,000.

I wish the thing was for sale as-is. Well they did give brief bursts of acceleration through the parking lot to show that it does have some Roadster goodness to it. But yes, there was no slalom to see how it handles the twisties. It is probably a real rocket compared to the Daimler version that will eventually show up. Follow us on Twitter!

and your Honda/Sony car will be perfectly happy with any Durcell/Energizer pack just like AA calls in your flashlight. If every car accepts 2 or 4 or 6 of these universal packs then true economies of scale can kick in in their manufacture. Takes the car companies out the battery business. govt/industry defined standards my be required.??
