While some automakers are still introducing 2024 EVs, Audi is pushing out a mid-model refresh of the Q4 50 e-tron, called the Q4 55 e-tron. The Audi refresh includes several notable improvements on the performance and handling side, as well as faster charging. That’s 22 miles more EPA range than the 2024 Audi Q4 e-tron 50 EV.

Twenty units of the Audi A1 e-tron extended range electric vehicle ( earlier post ) are on the roads of the Munich pilot region in a fleet trial by partners Audi, E.ON, the public utility Stadtwerke München (SwM), and Technische Universität München (TUM). The Audi A1 e-tron is an electric car with a range extender.

The four-passenger, two-door mega city vehicle (MCV) car can drive 50 kilometers (31 miles) emission-free in city traffic on its 12 kWh battery pack before the range extender kicks in. Audi introduced the battery-electric Audi A3 e-tron US pilot program at TED2012 in Long Beach, California. This marks Audi’s first foray into the rapidly developing US electric vehicle landscape. The Audi A3 e-tron can be recharged in about nine hours with a 230-volt household socket. A3 e-tron BEV.

GM is producing 2 vehicles a day with the goal of having a total of 76 vehicles available by the end of the summer; these vehicles will be used for validation testing ranging from fit and finish reviews, to durability testing to eventual crash testing. BYD , for examples, says their 60 mile range-extended vehicle can add 30 miles of range in ten minutes. Please feel free to tell us what you believe to be the benefits of some of the various recharging modes mentioned above in the comments section below. I would prefer to recharge at home, and could do so.
