Currently, only alternative fuel vehicles are exempt from the London Congestion Charge. Indeed Volvo is not alone in having reason to complain – at the end of 2008, there were 13 non-hybrid cars from other manufacturers emitting less than 105g/km of CO2. Yet its drivers are still charged £8 a day to enter the capital.
