The event, WAJ Media Day 2021, afforded me a chance to experience some exotic and high-end cars that aren’t normally in the sights of Clean Fleet Report. This scenic town, located 30 miles south of San Francisco, sits on the Pacific Ocean and is known for its annual Pumpkin Festival , and the giant waves at Mavericks.

Better Place is building stations in San Francisco, Hawaii, Israel, and Denmark to swap out 1,000 pound batteries in a car wash type set up. The Renault-Nissan Alliance is building fleet charging stations in Portland and Phoenix. We have those…they are readily available in our own domestic fleet. aren’t there yet.

By the end of the day, almost 200 miles later, I became convinced that that Lucid, headquartered just across the San Francisco Bay from where we did the drive, was on to something.
