Electric trucks created in Washington, Tyne & Wear are today on the roads of Washington DC. Four major US corporations and two utility companies took delivery of the Smith Newton, the largest road-going electric truck in North America. Newton was launched in the UK by Smith Electric Vehicles in 2006.

I could drive a Class 8 truck over a light-duty charger, and it will activate one pad of that truck and still charge. Charged : So, the same charging station will work for all vehicles? We’re completely modular and interoperable, so we have the same system deployed across all vehicle types and all fleets.
