The minerals must be “DRC Conflict Free,” meaning that the materials do not benefit “armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, or any adjoining country.” Tesla also has a four-step Due Diligence process to ensure that all minerals are obtained humanely. These countries include: Burundi.
