Its two mainstream brands, Buick and Chevrolet, will account for nearly half. Buick will introduce about 12 new and upgraded products. From Chevrolet will come 15 new models and upgrades, which will range from affordable small cars to midsize sedans. A drivable version will be introduced following Auto Shanghai 2011.

Compared to the restrained results of most Western OEMs, the likes of Geely, Changan, Li Auto, Seres (Aito) and Chery did particularly well. This included battery-electric vehicles (BEVs), plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) and extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs). Aito seems set to follow in the footsteps of Li Auto.
