Volvo Cars selects South Carolina for its first US plant

Volvo Cars has selected South Carolina as the location of its new $500-million factory in the US. The new plant will make latest generation Volvo models for sale in the United States and for export. Construction will begin in early autumn 2015, with the first vehicles expected to roll off the assembly line in 2018.

Polestar 3 electric performance SUV to be manufactured in the US

The forthcoming Polestar 3 will be manufactured alongside new Volvo vehicles at the Volvo Cars production center in Ridgeville, South Carolina. Polestar vehicles built in South Carolina will be for sale in the United States. The Ridgeville plant was opened in 2018 by Volvo Cars.
