Waymo (formerly the Google self-driving car project, earlier post ) and FCA announced that production of 100 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivans ( earlier post ) uniquely built to enable fully self-driving operations has been completed. They’ve been great partners, and we look forward to continued teamwork with them as we move into 2017.

Initially, the rides will be conducted in San Francisco as a part of Waymo’s Trusted Tester Program. . Waymo started off as google’s self-driving car project. Because in 2017, Waymo began providing rides to Phoenix residents and though the company didn’t make considerable money, the program is said to be a success.
