These EVSE credits are designed to support the expansion of charging-station infrastructure and remove a major barrier to EV ownership by making refueling accessible everywhere. Tax credits for installing EV charging stations are available in a variety of forms, and many of them apply toward the cost of equipment and installation.

The Advanced Clean Cars program combines the control of soot, smog-causing pollutants (LEV III) and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions into a single coordinated package of requirements for model years 2017 through 2025. This will reduce the monthly cost of a new car by $12, even when considering the higher cost of the loan or lease.
