The ZEV regulation—along with new LEV III criteria pollutant and GHG standards—can be the catalyst to the process of transforming the California light-duty fleet, ARB staff suggests. The standard targets would reduce car CO 2 emissions by about 36% and truck CO 2 emissions by about 32% from model year 2016 through 2025.
