The Q7 PHEV will arrive in dealerships in Germany in 2016, and will likely come to the US, although perhaps with a gasoline-engine variant. Because the exhaust system transports only water, it can be made of lightweight polymer. An outer skin made from carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) encases the inner aluminum shell.
