Foothill Transit launching fully fast-charging electric bus line

It features a 30-mile (48 km) range without charging; it can recharge, hands free and in-route, in 10 minutes. Foothill Transit’s Line 291 travels 17 miles (27 km) between La Verne and Pomona and recharges its buses in route at the Pomona Transit Center at a drive-in docking station. Delivery is expected in early 2015.

CEC awards Proterra $3M toward electric bus manufacturing plant; Foothill Transit orders 13 more buses
