This is the moment that the concept of electronic paper, or e-paper, went mainstream. This technology was first launched in 2013 for retail ESLs. The processes it used had to be converted to operate in a different, production-ready machine. After all, black-and-white e-paper took only 10 years from concept to commercialization.
