It will appear in Europe next year as the Opel Ampera and in Australia as the Holden Volt in 2012. Engineering proptypes enjoy a tax break. Companies can not sell engineering prototypes in which the company got R&D tax breaks in developing the product. We are addicted to the gasoline tax both at the State and Federal level.
