Consumer Electronics Assn Study Finds 40% of American Adults Likely to Test Drive an EV

Concerns about mileage potential before needing to recharge (50%) and battery life (34%) top the list. The study finds running out of battery power on the road (71%), lack of charging stations and/or not being able to recharge (66%) and limited mileage (59%) are the most common perceived disadvantages with electric vehicles.

Mission Motors launches EV powertrain division targeting OEM sales across multiple vehicle platforms

Mission Motors, developer of the high-performance Mission One PLE electric motorcycle, launched Mission Electric Vehicle Technology (MissionEVT), the company’s high-performance EV Powertrain Division, at the 2010 Specialty Equipment Marketing Association Show (SEMA) in Las Vegas. Recharging takes about 2 hours at 240V.
