EPA is holding the first of two public hearings on Monday, 18 May regarding the agency’s proposed findings that greenhouse gases contribute to air pollution that may endanger public health or welfare. The hearing at the EPA Potomac Yard South Conference Center in Arlington, Virginia, is scheduled from 9am to 8pm. Earlier post.)

EPA Proposes New Tougher Ground-Level Ozone Standards

In September 2009 Administrator Jackson announced that EPA would reconsider the existing ozone standards, set at 0.075 ppm in March 2008. December 2013: State Implementation Plans, outlining how states will reduce pollution to meet the standards, are due to EPA. 2010 in Arlington, Va. August 2011 Designations become effective.
