In late 2008, BYD started selling the first production PHEV in China. Ford Escape PHEV-40 around 2012. First Escape PHEV delivered to SCE Nov 2007; 20 in 2008-2009. First Escape PHEV delivered to SCE Nov 2007; 20 in 2008-2009. Mazda Ford Partner was reported to be developing Series PHEV based on Mazda 5 MPV platform.

If the EV1 was viable (or even close) we would see Ford, Toyota, Honda, etc all with 80 mile cars right now.do Posted by: GSP | Apr 14, 2009 9:07:50 AM Funny, BYD (chinese) already came out with their version of the volt this year. GM cant do it but a 15 year old chinese car company can.now thats funny! you see that?
