The Shenhua Baotou Coal-to-Olefins Project was completed in Baotou, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region on 31 May. This is China’s pilot industrialized coal-to-olefins project. This project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) in December 2006 and began design and construction in 2007.
