Study finds power law scaling relationship between urban population and NO2 pollution

The researchers used tropospheric NO 2 columns retrieved from the Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI) on NASA’s Aura satellite, which measures NO 2 throughout the atmosphere in the afternoon around the world. Despite large populations, Indian cities seem cleaner in terms of NO 2 pollution than the study’s other regions.
