US electric vehicle maker, Miles Electric Vehicles has filed for bankruptcy in Delaware, court documents show. Founded in 2004, by entrepreneur Miles Rubin, the vehicle manufacturer designed a range of low-speed electric passenger cars and vans designed for off-highway use such as around universit[.].

A total of 35 passengers from both buses, the 2 bus drivers, and the driver of the Volvo tractor received injuries ranging from minor to serious. In Philadelphia in 2010, a barge being towed by a tugboat ran over an amphibious duck boat in the Delaware River, killing two Hungarian tourists. Eighteen people were uninjured.
