No one needs to buy another new gas powered car. Keep your old car, or buy an inexpensive used car. The Plug-Ins are coming and you should wait till they get here before buying your next new car. Otherwise you’ll just be buying a dinosaur that you’ll have to pay to convert or dispose of. Save your money.

My ex and I got solar at home on his birthday in 2002, then our first EV, the RAV4, a couple months later, on the winter solstice. Finally, I was doing something that could really make a dent in climate change. I charge at night, when rates are lowest, so there’s a speck of non-renewable energy in my battery.
