Ozone pollution across the continental United States will become far more difficult to keep in check as temperatures rise, according to new work led by the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). The report concluded that “ damage from climate change, perhaps immense damage, is likely to be part of the Australian reality of the 21 st century and beyond.” The plan is designed to cut Australian emissions by at least 5% from 2000 levels by 2020, or up to 25% if similar levels are multilaterally agreed upon in Copenhagen.
