The Volkswagen Group is continuing its restructuring in the aftermath of the diesel engine emissions scandal. Having started his career at Ford, he was Head of Volkswagen Group Research from 2000 to 2003. He held various responsibilities in the export section of Sales at Volkswagen AG from 1983.

His only indulgences are a Mercedes and a Lexus, and they have a practical purpose: He takes their engines apart to see how they work. He certainly doesnt live a very lavish lifestyle.
