Almost 2000 were delivered to corporate customers in Japan last year. The really good news is they have a target price of about $22,000 after the production hike.

The most affordable BMW BEV since the iX3 is its opposite when it comes to orthodoxy and risk. Price and features BMW hasn’t hesitated to come out confidently with the pricing of the iX1, setting it higher than the starting point of any of its luxury compact SUV opposition at $84,900 plus on-road costs. That’s progress folks.

Volvo has some of the most aggressive goals when it comes to brand-wide electrification, and the new C40 Recharge is a big step in its electric charge towards zero emissions. Its official name is the Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric, and it’s available as either a single motor or dual motor (the latter is called the Twin).

The slightly-raised ride height, paired with the high belt line, low roof, and stubby tail are unusual design choices, though Polestar’s sister company Volvo was not often known for (P1800 aside) stunningly beautiful exterior styling. The interior, too, unsurprisingly reminds of modern Volvos. I don’t love the look of the Polestar 2.
