Stellantis is recalling 76,000 Chrysler plug-in hybrid minivans because a short circuit could cause the engine to unexpectedly shut down. The recall covers 67,000 2017-23 Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivans in the United States and about 9,000 in other countries. The sudden loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

The best-selling plug-in hybrid was the Jeep Wrangler 4xe while hybrids were dominated by Toyota/Lexus models that took 55% of that market segment.
