Bright Automotive says it soon release an electric car with a 100 mile per gallon plus plug-in – and the company says it will keep the car economically priced. Bright Automotive, which spun out of the Rocky Mountain Institute in January, is building a plug-in hybrid vehicle that will get 100 miles a gallon (see Green Lightpost).

General Motors was among them with the line of Volt cars seen as the future for the company. One of the most impressive vehicles on display was the ZENN - which stands for Zero Emission No Noise. Many more manufacturers took the opportunity to showcase their cars. The Chevrolet Equinox was also there, powered by a hydrogen fuel cell.
