GM will leapfrog Toyota and Honda by providing an electric car to the masses by the end of next year. Its been improving over time, but the power density and cost issues are still steep for what exists thus far. If the EV1 was viable (or even close) we would see Ford, Toyota, Honda, etc all with 80 mile cars right now.do
