Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) has cumulatively sold more than 2 million hybrid vehicles since the launch in 1997 in Japan of the Coaster Hybrid EV in August and the Prius in December. Here is how each manufacturer faired: Ford: The addition of the Fusion and Milan Hybrids gave Ford a neat boost with hybrid sales up 21 per cent compared to April 2008. Toyota Prius sales dropped 61.5 per cent in April to 8,385 from 21,757 albeit this is in anticipation of the new 2010 Prius. per cent to 933 units.
