Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) has cumulatively sold more than 2 million hybrid vehicles since the launch in 1997 in Japan of the Coaster Hybrid EV in August and the Prius in December. Overall, reported sales of hybrids dropped 45.5 Meanwhile, the Ford Escape and Mariner hybrids saw sales drop by 40.5 Toyota : Its’ combined hybrid sales dropped by 62.8
