Canada-based FLO announced the installation of the first wave of workplace electric vehicle (EV) charging stations as part of a multi-year agreement with General Motors (GM), whereby FLO provides AC Level 2 and direct current (DC) fast chargers for GM to be installed on their premises in the United States.

General Motors Co. announced today that its Spring Hill, Tennessee assembly plant will begin the transition to become the company’s third vehicle manufacturing site to produce electric vehicles, joining Factory ZERO in Detroit and Hamtramck, Michigan, and Orion Assembly in Orion Township, Michigan.

Following news that production of the Chevrolet Silverado EV would be delayed, General Motors has announced that the Chevy Equinox EV would likewise be arriving behind schedule. The facility is responsible for manufacturing the Cadillac Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Tahoe, Suburban, GMC Yukon, and Yukon XL.

Icom North America, a developer and manufacturer of liquid-injection propane (autogas) systems for commercial and consumer vehicles, has received 17 new US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certifications for its patented JTG II Propane Liquid Injection bi-fuel systems. The GMC-brand vehicles include Sierra, Yukon and Savana vans.

But that’s the point, as the manufacturer was clearly trying to maximize interior volume without sacrificing cargo. The infiniti QX80 and GMC Yukon are a little too big, while something like the Acura MDX is a little too small. But that’s a good place for a new vehicle to be when the market is receptive.&
