MidAmericans David Sokol, BYDs Wang, and company advisor Li Lu flew with Sokol from Detroit to Omaha so that Wang could meet Buffett in person. BYD claims to have achieved a breakthrough with its lithium ion ferrous phosphate technology, but no one can be sure whether it will work as promised.
