kWh NiMH plug-in hybrid (PHEV) conversion kit that enables all-electric mode driving at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour (until the battery pack is depleted) in a converted Prius. Some previous Prius plug-in conversion kits allowed motorists to go as fast as 52 miles per hour using a “forced stealth” mode.

kWh Li-ion pack enabling an electric range of up to 15 miles (24 km) at speeds of up to 62 mph (100 km/h), according to Toyota. Toyota’s goal was to reduce the cost, weight and volume of the pack from the NiMH system used earlier. Maximum EV speed is up to 62 mph. L/100km equivalent and 4.8 L/100km, respectively.
