They will buy a car and rent or lease the battery and the cost of leasing the battery will be the same as, or less than, the cost theyre paying today for petrol. People wont buy a full car.

One wonders if the recent headway at MIT in building lithium ion cells using ?virus? If you build a car as a "kit car" with no real factory, then yes, it will never be an economic success. Forget the black helicopter conspiracies. based technology will actually achieve any economy in production. Interesting in any case.
