It’s really up to the battery manufacturers and the automakers as to which physical configuration to use, and then of course the internal chemistry configuration. It’s a petroleum product. It takes very high energy to create it, and in some philosophical way, it doesn’t make sense to electrify mobility by using petroleum products.
