It can even has sports car performance with a 0 to 60 mph sprint in as little as 3 seconds. As of January, Rivian offered leasing in 15 states.

The Rivian R1T can plow through 3+ feet of water and rock crawl a 100% grade with 14.9″ It’s also as fast as a sports car, with a 0 to 60 mph in as little as 3 seconds (although it did lose in a race to Tesla’s Cybertruck). Rivian’s Quad-Motor AWD R1T packs a whopping 835 horsepower and 908 lb-ft of torque. of ground clearance.

The world’s first-to-market electric pickup truck, it turns out, isn’t from Ford, General Motors, or a late-to-market Tesla Cybertruck. That capability begins with four individual electric motors, as I experienced on a stirring R1T test in and around New York. I’m looking forward to my first hardcore off-road runs in the Rivian.
