The Hertz Corporation, which includes the Hertz, Dollar and Thrifty brands, has expanded of its Green Traveler Collection car rental fleet to include the 2016 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid ( earlier post ) in select cities across the US. All of the Green Traveler cars have fuel efficiency ratings starting at 33+ highway mpg.

To compare, the standard CR-V with a front-wheel drivetrain and 2-liter hybrid engine has an estimated range of 43 mpg in the city, 36 on freeways, and 40 combined, according to Automotive News. Hyundai has already been mass-producing hydrogen fuel cell EVs for a while with its Nexo line. Problem is, there is nowhere to refuel them.
