The outgoing E 53 generates 429 hp from an inline-6, and we predict the unutilized one to store much more horsepower, perhaps from a 4-cylinder coupled with hybrid era.

Let's face it, even the perceived eco-leaders such as Toyota oppose higher CAFE standards here as they push high-profit, low-mileage Tundras and Sequoias. Toyota, which pioneered the industry-leading, 50-miles-per-gallon Prius hybrid, has joined with the Big Three U.S. Don't take my word for it.
