Waste heat is used to generate electricity, making Enefit shale oil plants net producers of electricity. Besides Estonia, countries with large oil shale reserves include Australia, Brazil, China and Russia. Ash, as a processing residue, is clean and has several applications in cement production and the construction industry.

Right now, production is low in Russia, so the cost has increased. Smart Meters waste. We also need more power storage in the form of batteries and other technologies to store power when the sun shines and the wind blows. We also need more Grid to Car and Car to Grid interconnect. No Fracking.
