And EV owners would become entrepreneurs, selling electricity back to the grid. And indeed, that’s how promoters of vehicle-to-grid technology perceive the EV.

This prototype uses a lead-acid mixture. The first batteries could power vehicles to “neck-breaking” speeds of up to 14 mph. Until then, batteries were made with nickel and cadmium, or lead acid. EVs are much more sustainable and also need less maintenance. Yet, it was a revolution, nonetheless. Miles Ahead.

The customer will only pay a monthly fee about $240 (US Dollars) which includes a full maintenance service agreement; carbon offset payments and in some countries even all electricity used, and insurance. Today we could be using lead-acid EVs, lead-carbon-acid EVs, or nickel metal hydride or lithium-ion hybrids.
